5 Top Instagramable Backdrops at Bluemont Vineyard This Harvest Season

Harvest season is upon us, and one of the best parts about this beautiful period of time in the Loudoun Valley is capturing the gorgeous scenic backdrops. In collaboration with mother nature, we’re sharing with you the top five backdrops at Bluemont Vineyard this harvest season for the gram!

Wildflower Bicycle

Located right next to our Elevation 951 landmark rock at the very top of the mountain, with gorgeous backdrops of our vineyards and the Loudoun Valley. One of our Bluemont employees, Joel, planted wildflowers around a rustic bicycle this season, creating the most beautiful countryside picturesque moment perfect for the gram all summer long.

Be one with the vines! Enjoy the sunshine, and experience our lush vineyards at their peak just before harvest, with their canopy exploding providing the perfect spot to snap those special moments with family and your pups. Kick off your shoes and get grounded in the vines with our most casual, family friend, and instagramable experience at Bluemont Vineyard. Learn More.

Viognier Vineyard

Our Viognier Vineyard is our highest viewing point on the mountain, but you’ll have to work for the views and the photo opportunity by enjoying one of our newest 2021 experiences, the Bluemont Vineyard Wine + Hiking Tour. Stop #4 in the moderately difficult, 1- mile loop hike lands you amongst the Viognier Vines.  We promise the vista is worth the climb! Learn More

Production Barrels

With the 2021 harvest upon us, the production area and crush pad are full of live-action. As we're rotating through the many steps of a harvest, a line-up of barrels spread across our crush pad and patio. We recommend you snap a shot or two with one of our Bluemont branded barrels to commemorate your visit to our Northern Virginia winery. Want to stand in a barrel? Join us for our “Crush with Us” event to stomp grapes and snap your photo!

Norton the Pig

An ode to our farming roots and farm series wines. Located right at the entrance to the tasting room, this giant pig was hand-carved by a local Bluemont artist many years ago and has become one of the Bluemont family. This gorgeous carving was affectionately named Norton, after our Norton “The Pig” wine, made from a grape that is indigenous to Virginia.
