August brings us the Sturgeon Full Moon, which is the last supermoon of the year! A supermoon is ever so slightly closer to the Earth than the average Full Moon, making it extra large and bright for your viewing pleasure.

The Old Farmer's Almanac describes the August Full Moon traditionally being called the Sturgeon Moon because ‘the giant sturgeon of the Great Lakes and Lake Champlain were most readily caught during this part of summer.

Enjoy views of the full moon and live music while sipping on a featured wine. To send the season off in style, we’ll be bringing back and featuring Wolffer Estate Summer In a Bottle Rosé along with your favorite Bluemont Vineyard wines and a selection of wines from across the world. There will be a small selection of light fare items for purchase while on site. 

Reservations are complementary to Vista Club Members and their guests. All seating is available on a first-come basis and guests are invited to bring their own chairs and blankets.
